The 4 Step Vision Process
Gather information pertaining to your project, receive and discuss existing pictures of your home, talk about likes and dislikes, expectations for us.Once we gather the above information, we provide a “guesstimated range” of the investment amount your project may cost. This guesstimate will likely be based on similar projects we have completed along with our 25+ years in the industry.
If this range is within your budget, we schedule an in-home consultation.
STEP 2 – EXPLORE
Take additional on-site pictures, actual measurements of project area, collect any supporting documents you may have including drawings/designs/sketches and example pictures.
Purpose of this meeting is to either confirm or adjust our initial guesstimate figures we discussed on the phone. Goal is to not exceed our initial guesstimate by more than 20% unless additional project requests have been discussed during this meeting.
Another goal of ours during this time is to continue educating you of the entire remodeling process, our systems we have in place with helping you choose selection products, suppliers and help answer any more questions you may have.
STEP 3 – PLAN
Take all information gathered to this point and start to sit down with our designers, architects, suppliers, in-house team and trade partners to create a very detailed, written and guaranteed quote.
A good bit of time goes into creating this preliminary design and quote so we usually schedule a return visit to your home or business to discuss all the details and information in person.
During this 1-2 week period you may be asked to visit some of our preferred suppliers for selection decisions as well as our trade partners may need to visit your project to gather additional information for their phase of work and estimate.
For larger addition projects and custom home builds this Step 3 could potentially take several weeks as we’re going back and forth with our design team and suppliers.
Our goal for Step 3 is to be as detailed and thorough as possible so when we present our final bid proposal you are prepared to make a hiring decision.
Cost = Approx 1-2 % of project guesstimate range with $150 minimum (2% if our architect has to create Preliminary CAD drawings) Most often a non-refundable retainer check is received at the end of Step 2 meeting to cover and begin these services. Design and estimate fee goes toward overall project cost if Vision Construction is chosen as your contractor.
STEP 4- BUILD
Let the fun begin! We will work with you to create a timeline that will include the start date of your project and an estimated project completion timeline. Our project managers will be in regular communication to ensure all steps align with the timeline. We use a software program to keep everything organized pertaining to product selections, scheduling, communication and invoicing in one convenient portal. Once the project is complete, we encourage you to reach out with any needed adjustments. As with every Vision project, your remodel will be covered by our 10 year workmanship warranty to ensure you are happy with your project for years to come!
