Our Kitchen Remodel Process
At Vision Construction, we are easy to work with and believe in being open and honest with our clients. When you contact Vision about remodeling your kitchen, we want to determine how we can best help you immediately. We’ll ask you to provide pictures and notes of the space, explain what you’d like changed and begin to learn what the vision for your kitchen is. Determining a budget is also part of the process. Then, based on the photos, information and the budget you provide, we then arrange a site visit to establish a starting point (site measure fees apply). We do this to ensure your project is professionally assessed and to further find out as much as possible about what you hope to achieve as a final product. We will then begin to put together a quote, design, and timeline to present to you in our Bid Presentation.
If you agree to proceed forward with us, we require a 1% fee, based on the higher end of the ballpark ranges that we will provide to you after receiving pictures and a general project scope. This fee will allow us to put a detailed quote together for you, spelling out each of the elements of your project, as well as true material/selections costs broken down, before landing on a final price. We charge a 2% fee if drawings and 3d renderings are needed as well.
Material selections are also confirmed to ensure our quote is accurate and your vision comes to life. We insist on high quality selections for all of our kitchen remodels. This level of product allows us to guarantee our 10-year warranty on our work as well as industry leading product warranties from our manufacturers ensure a kitchen we will be proud of for many years.
Kitchen Remodel Timelines
In terms of timelines, from our initial phone call to our Bid Presentation is generally about 30 to 60 days.
After the kitchen remodel contract is signed and deposit secured, we then order all of the products needed to do the job. Once they have been received, your project is scheduled and the work begins to make your kitchen remodel dream a reality. From the time of demolition to a completed kitchen remodel takes between five and eight weeks, depending on the scope of work and the size of the room. Where room additions or engineered floor plan changes are required, timelines will differ.

What does a kitchen remodel cost?

Do you have your own kitchen designers?
We do not have designers on our immediate team, but we do utilize an incredibly talented interior designer who we’ve worked alongside with on past projects.
Do you work with outside kitchen designers and architects?
Yes, we will work with architects or designers that you bring to us, but we also have preferred trade partner firms for architecture or design as needed
Where do you get your cabinets and fixtures?
We draw from a variety of reputable suppliers of gorgeous, durable products to ensure that the kitchen we build for you can stand the test of time and family life.
Can I do some of the work myself?
No, we generally will not install products that you purchase, as we are unable to offer our 10 year warranty with the risk that we could be using inferior products. We know the quality of the product we purchase for each of our projects and can rest well knowing that what we have provided will serve you well.
Will you install products that I have purchased?
We are flexible in allowing our clients to have some “sweat equity” in their remodel projects as long as we all agree it will not slow down our production process and not interfere with the warranty of other phases of the construction process.
Will you sell me just the cabinets or products for me to install?
No. Vision construction is a remodel company that sells installed product only.
Are your trades qualified?
Yes. We have long standing relationships with most of our trade partners and suppliers. They understand our processes, our level of quality and customer service expectations.
Is Vision Construction insured?
Yes. We carry a $4M general liability insurance policy and all the Bureau of Workers Compensation requirements for all our internal team members and require the same for all our trade partners. Certificates are available upon request.
Do you have references?
Yes! We can provide references from different projects from remodels to million dollar custom home builds. We will happily share our references, or you are welcome to see the video reviews on our kitchen Customer Reviews page.
