This laundry and mudroom remodel in Anderson Township transformed a utilitarian space into a beautifully organized and highly functional part of the home. The redesigned layout combines practical storage, efficient workspaces, and a touch of timeless style.
Custom cabinetry in a warm gray tone provides ample storage while complementing the soft neutral palette and herringbone-patterned flooring. The laundry area features front-load appliances, a deep farmhouse sink, and generous counter space for folding and sorting, paired with built-in rolling hampers to keep daily routines effortless.
Adjacent to the laundry zone, the mudroom offers a thoughtful drop zone complete with a built-in bench, upper cubbies with woven baskets, and durable hooks—creating a welcoming and organized entry point for the family.
This space was beautifully curated by Rachel Henry from Sanctuary Designs. Her attention to material selection, cabinetry detailing, and functional flow transformed this laundry and mudroom into a cohesive, inviting, and hardworking extension of the home.

During installation, we discovered that the beautiful apron-front sink wouldn’t sit flush with the front of the cabinetry as planned. When positioned against the wall, the apron edge fell short—throwing off both the alignment and the visual balance of the design.
To preserve the clean, custom look, our team engineered a subtle wall bump-out behind the sink. This adjustment allowed the apron to extend perfectly to the cabinet face, maintaining the seamless design intent while showcasing the sink as a striking focal point of the room.
This project was designed by Rachel Henry of Sanctuary Designs. Rachel worked closely with the client and worked through the overall floor plan, material selections, tile pattern, color palettes & textures that make this space complete.
During the design phase, we worked with Rachel & the client to establish a realistic budget for the project, timeframe, start date and more. Once the designs were completed, selections were made we had all the information to present a formal proposal.
The customer is given access to Buildertrend, a platform where we manage all of our projects, providing the customer with daily updates for completed phases, submit change orders, secured payments & more.
With the designs confirmed, selections made, budget set, time frame arranged & signed project proposal it was time to get started. With all material selections made, ordering was made easy. We ordered all the materials directly to our shop in preparation for the project start date and ensured all items were indeed correct and intact. Just one damaged item could have caused unnecessary lead time.
