This full basement remodel transformed an unfinished lower level into a modern, multi-functional retreat that combines entertainment, wellness, and relaxation. The new layout includes a home gym, custom wet bar, luxury bathroom with sauna, pool room, and a spacious lounging area—each space designed to complement one another with a cohesive, upscale feel.
The wet bar anchors the entertainment area with sleek gray cabinetry, floating wood shelves, and a bold geometric backsplash that continues into the adjacent bathroom’s shower tile for a unified aesthetic. Nearby, the pool room and dartboard wall create a fun, social atmosphere perfect for game nights and gatherings, while the lounge area offers comfortable seating and a large media setup for movie watching or unwinding.
The bathroom extends the spa-like ambiance with a glass-enclosed shower, warm wood tones, and a connected sauna—turning everyday routines into moments of relaxation.
This space was beautifully curated by Rachel Henry of Sanctuary Designs, whose thoughtful selections of materials, colors, and layout brought balance and sophistication throughout the remodel.

During the project the customer requested access to the mechanical & storage room with an inconspicuous door if possible.
Our craftsmen fabricated a custom door with trim that matched the wainscoting feature wall for secret access to the mechanical room.
This project was designed by Rachel Henry of Sanctuary Designs. Rachel worked closely with the client and worked through the overall floor plan, material selections, tile pattern, color palettes & textures that make this space complete.
During the design phase, we worked with Rachel & the client to establish a realistic budget for the project, timeframe, start date and more. Once the designs were completed, selections were made we had all the information to present a formal proposal.
The customer is given access to Buildertrend, a platform where we manage all of our projects, providing the customer with daily updates for completed phases, submit change orders, secured payments & more.
With the designs confirmed, selections made, budget set, time frame arranged & signed project proposal it was time to get started. With all material selections made, ordering was made easy. We ordered all the materials directly to our shop in preparation for the project start date and ensured all items were indeed correct and intact. Just one damaged item could have caused unnecessary lead time.
